How to Get a Library Card

How do I get a Digital Library Card?

Prince William County residents can access all of the library's digital services without visiting a library branch by signing up for a Digital Library Card. The Digital Library Cards expire in two years. To sign up, click here and select "Don't have a PWPLS library card?" to register for a Digital Library card.

After you register for a digital library card, please write down your temporary barcode (example: PACREG000000). This barcode will give you access to the Digital Library and mobile apps, including Hoopla Digital and Libby, by OverDrive.

In addition to accessing the digital services, you may visit any PWPLS branch to upgrade to a physical library card within two years before the digital library card expires (photo ID with proof of your current address is required).
