Although PWCS is unable to provide instruction or class assignments to students while schools remain closed, our School Division hopes that the suggestions for optional learning activities posted here will help parents support student learning until schools re-open. Please remember that use of these materials and participation in these activities are optional and neither grades nor course credit will be awarded.
March 23rd 8:00am:
Good morning everyone!

I will be sending an email with some information. Email will be the best way to reach me and for me to reach you! If you are having trouble with your email please reach out to someone in the county or to me at

These are interesting times and our goal should be to review content that has been covered this year. I will be sending emails with notes, video links, and IXL assignments to be completed. The goal is that this will not be stressful, but to be educational. Our normal daily class time is 55 minutes, so if something takes more than that please let me know. I will be sending daily emails with tasks to be completed.

PreAlgebra (Math 8): Please consult the documents for reference on the standards based on our 'Pacing Guide'. We have covered Units 1-6 and started on Unit 7 with being able to graph lines. So our review will go in the same order, starting with Unit 1.

Algebra 1: Please consult the documents for reference on the standards based on our 'Pacing Guide'. We have covered Units 1-9 and started part of 11.

I hope you are all well and spending time with family!
Update November 6th, 2019: We are currently working on Angles and Angle measures. We will then move into transformations and I hope to have the Unit 4 Test done before the students leave for Thanksgiving Break!

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns!
Update September 25th, 2019: We are currently working on consumer math. We are discussing tax, tip, discount, and markup.

Unit 1 Test Results are in! Retakes must be completed by October 7, 2019.

Students have assignments in Study Island to complete this week! These assignments are designed to review the material on the Unit 1 Test.

Khan Academy assignments will be averaged and entered as a summative grade at the end of the quarter!

Welcome to another school year! I am excited to be at Woodbridge Middle School!

I was born and raised in Ohio. I moved to Virginia in March of 2012 to begin my teaching career. I started at Massanutten Military Academy, and then made my way over to Rippon Middle School for the last 4 years. This is my first year at Woodbridge Middle School and I am happy to be here! I am teaching 4 classes of PreAlgebra this year.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to send me an email at

Thank you!
