The Counseling Department will be conducting a Signs of Suicide “SOS” lesson for Seventh Graders between March 27th – April 7th. “SOS” is a suicide prevention program aimed to help students recognize symptoms of depression or warning signs in themselves or their friends. It also teaches students appropriate steps they should take for assistance. The steps for getting help are based on the acronym ACT ; Acknowledging, Caring, and Telling. OPT out forms will be sent home on March 20th and should be returned to the counseling office by Friday, March 24th.
