As Dr. McDade shared previously in her September 30 message to families, employees, and the community:  

• Code Orange, new last year, is an asynchronous learning day for students and remote work for non-essential employees used when inclement weather conditions are marginal and impact road or sidewalk safety but are not so severe as to cause substantial impacts.  

• Code Red Days, when schools are closed for students and employees, may still occur when conditions warrant their use.   

With the weather getting colder, now is a good time to refer to the Inclement Weather Codes page and information on weather cancellation procedures to see how delayed openings or school closings may affect schools and activities and employee workdays.
