Rose Moore - Principal

Rose Moore is delighted to serve as principal of Woodbridge Middle School in Woodbridge, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education, and furthered her education at George Mason University, earning a Master of Education in Educational Leadership along with a Math Specialist Leader Certificate. Rose also holds an administrative endorsement from the University of Virginia.

Rose began her career at a small private school in Pennsylvania before moving to Virginia in 2004. In Virginia, she served as a middle school math teacher, department chair, and instructional coach. Her journey in educational administration continued as she moved into central office roles within Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), where she was the PreK-12 Mathematics Coordinator. She then transitioned to middle school administration, serving as an assistant principal at both Holmes Middle School and Luther Jackson Middle School.

With over two decades of experience, Rose brings a wealth of knowledge in educational administration and a deep understanding of the unique needs of middle school students. Her leadership style is collaborative, and she is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence for all students.

Outside of her professional life, Rose lives in Springfield with her husband, daughter, and three dogs. She enjoys reading, hiking, crafting, running, and spending time in the mountains. Rose’s vision for Woodbridge Middle School is to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning, encouraging students to reach their full potential.

Dr. Kathy Hybl - Assistant Principal

Kathy Hybl began her teaching career in 1995 as a third-grade teacher for the City of Fredericksburg. She then transitioned to middle school as a math and science teacher, math department chair, and discipline designee in 2000 with Stafford County Public Schools. She joined the ranks of Prince William Public Schools in 2012 at New Dominion Alternative Center as their administrative intern. At Woodbridge Middle School, Dr. Hybl serves as one of the assistant principals and looks forward working with all the new and returning Seminoles. Dr. Hybl believes that middle school must be developmentally responsive, challenging, empowering, and equitable to ensure that students have a world-class education that prepares them for the 21st century. Earning degrees from Mary Washington College and Marymount University, she rounded out her education by earning a doctorate from the College of William and Mary in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership in 2010. When Dr. Hybl is not at school, she loves spending time with family and friends, going to sporting events, listening to music, and traveling.

Susan E. Tucholski - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Tucholski comes to us with over 20 years in public education, including more than 10 years of leadership and administrative experience. Last year Mrs. T began her career in Prince William County as the Administrative Intern at Lake Ridge Middle School. Prior to coming to Prince William County, she served as the assistant principal at Caroline Middle School in Caroline County, Virginia.

Mrs. Tucholski is originally from Vienna, VA and currently lives with her husband and two children, Grace and John in Fredericksburg.

She brings a strong instructional leadership skill set to the team to include group facilitation, team-building, knowledge of best practices in curriculum and instruction, test coordination, use of instructional technology, and relationship-building.

Michelle Smith - Administrative Intern

Michelle Smith continues to serve as the Administrative Intern at Woodbridge Middle School for the 2025–2026 academic year. She brings 27 years of middle school teaching experience, including 15 years as a mathematics teacher in Prince William County.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Mrs. Smith holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education.

A proud wife and mother who loves the color purple, Mrs. Smith is also a devoted fan of the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. She is known for her approachable and engaging demeanor and understands the importance of building strong relationships and fostering a positive school culture.

Mrs. Smith is eager to leverage her extensive background in education and proven leadership skills to support the success of Woodbridge Middle School. She looks forward to collaborating with the leadership team, teachers, students, families, and community partners to CREATE meaningful connections and promote student achievement.

The knowledge she has gained in this role continues to shape her leadership journey and will allow her to make an even greater impact on the future. Her goal is to give her very best each day and continue growing as a leader. Together, let’s make this school year rewarding and unforgettable.

Image of Dr. Verona Wilborn

Dr. Wilborn - Director of Counseling

Dr. Wilborn is currently the Director of Counseling at Woodbridge Middle School.  She has over 25 years of experience in community and school counseling settings as well as 12 years of administrative leadership experience. Verona graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2020 with a doctorate in Education and recently received the Advanced Counseling Degree from Old Dominion University. Dr. Wilborn has endorsements in Counselor Education and Administration and Supervision. Dr. Wilborn is a passionate advocate for students and believes in providing students with all  necessary tools to be successful in school and their future endeavors.

Mr. Garland - Dean of Students

Mr. Garland is a proud native of Richmond, Virginia, and a graduate of Highland Springs High School. A lifelong learner and passionate educator, he began his journey in education while mentoring at the local Boys and Girls Club during his time at Virginia Commonwealth University. It was there that he discovered his calling to serve students and make a lasting impact through education.


Mr. Garland holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Mary Washington, an Education Specialist degree from Regent University, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education at Regent, with an expected graduation in May 2026. In recognition of his dedication to the profession, he was named a Carnegie Fellow by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) in 2016.


With over 24 years of experience in education, Mr. Garland brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and heart to our school community. He is deeply committed to student success and is known for his enthusiasm, collaborative spirit, and unwavering support for staff, students, and families. Outside of school, Mr. Garland is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., where he continues to serve the community through service projects, scholarship support for college-bound students, and neighborhood improvement initiatives. And if you’re a football fan, you’ll quickly learn that Mr. Garland is the #1 fan of the Dallas Cowboys!
